Court says no to injunction at Redoubt

Gary Carlson, senior vice president of Forest Oil Corp.'s Alaska business unit, confirmed that a request for an injunction against the start-up of production from the company's Redoubt Shoal unit was turned down by the Superior Court in Anchorage.

"We got word today that their request for a stay had been thrown out," Carlson said.

The request for a stay of production was made by the Trustees for Alaska on behalf of Cook Inlet Keeper and is part of an ongoing public interest lawsuit.

To date Carlson has said only that production is expected to begin before the end of the year.
