As you may know, we were going to release “Pumping up TAPS” magazine for legislators in early September to coincide with a fall special session of the Alaska Legislature on reforms to the state’s production tax, ACES.

Since lawmakers have decided not to hold a special session on oil tax reform, and will instead take up the issue in January at the start of the 2012 legislative session, we are going to release the magazine at Meet Alaska on Jan. 6. (The Alliance scheduled Meet Alaska early this year so more legislators could attend.)

The magazine will also be mailed to the home and Juneau offices of House and Senate members, with extra copies for legislative staff. And, of course, it will go to all Petroleum News subscribers.
