Hilcorp Alaska said yesterday that its subsidiary Harvest Alaska Inc. has executed an agreement to buy the liquefied natural gas facility at Port Mackenzie and related transportation equipment from Titan Alaska LNG LLC.
Hilcorp said the plant current has a maximum output of 50,000 gallons of LNG per day, the vast majority of which is then trucked to Fairbanks and sold to Fairbanks Natural Gas.
Hilcorp supplies 100 percent of the natural gas supplying the LNG facility.
Harvest is interested in expanding the plant's output.
