Marushack returns to head Conoco in Alaska
Joe Marushack took over as president of ConocoPhillips Alaska yesterday, succeeding Trond-Erik Johansen, who has headed the company's Alaska operations since 2010.
Marushack, most recently president of ConocoPhillips' Asia Pacific and Middle East operations, was vice president gas development for Phillips Petroleum Alaska beginning in 2000, and continued in that position following the ConocoPhillips merger in 2002, heading the gas pipeline project for the company in Alaska for 6 years.
When he left Alaska in 2007 it was to take over as president of ConocoPhillips Australia; he was named president of ConocoPhillips Canada in 2010; and took over the Asia Pacific & Middle East post in 2012.

ANS production up 4.8% month-over-month
Alaska North Slope production averaged 537,367 barrels per day in March, up 4.79 percent from a February average of 512,795 bpd.
The largest gain - by percent and by barrel - was at the BP Exploration (Alaska)-operated Prudhoe Bay field, the Slope's largest. Production there averaged 314,499 bpd in March, up 7 percent (20,586 bpd) from a February average of 293,913 bpd.
The ConocoPhillips Alaska-operated Kuparuk River field also had a month-over-month increase, averaging 139,878 bpd in March, up 2.95 percent (4,003 bpd) from a February average of 135,875 bpd.
Crude oil production from Cook Inlet in Southcentral Alaska averaged 18,231 bpd in February, up 1 percent from a January average of 18,050 bpd.
