ConocoPhillips Alaska Inc. has completed "key infrastructure components" at the GMT-1 development and facilities at the 1H NEWS development, and the company expects to begin oil production from both of the North Slope developments by the end of the year.
The company provided an update on the projects during an earnings call on July 27.
The 1H NEWS project is an expansion of the existing Drill Site 1H at the Kuparuk River unit. The GMT-1 project is the first development in the Greater Mooses Tooth unit.
