CORRECTION
The Bureau of Land Management’s role in unit formation was misstated in a news bulletin item about the National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska dated Sept. 3.
Units are proposed by the leaseholders and approved by BLM.
Petroleum News apologizes for the mischaracterization.
