MMS to join JPO

The federal-state Joint Pipeline Office said Feb. 14 that the U.S. Minerals Management Service has asked to join the JPO.

Beaufort Sea pipeline projects such as the completed Northstar pipeline project and the proposed Liberty pipeline extend into federal waters and MMS has worked with the State Pipeline Coordinator’s Office on these projects.

Staff of the Alaska Outer Continental Shelf Region of MMS have Arctic pipeline engineering expertise and are involved in national pipeline research projects and joint industry projects including offshore Arctic pipeline designs.
