Doyon, NANA exit Endicott pipe ownership
In Feb. 28 orders the Regulatory Commission of Alaska has approved transfer of small ownership interests in Endicott Pipeline Co. from Doyon Ltd. (0.1291 percent) and NANA Regional Corp. (0.3874 percent) to BP Transportation (Alaska) Inc. and Amoco Endicott Pipeline Co.
The 26-mile Endicott Pipeline has been in service since October 1987, moving oil from the offshore Endicott main production island to Pump Station No. 1 of the trans-Alaska oil pipeline.
Prior to the transfer Endicott Pipeline had six owners: Amoco, BP, ExxonMobil Pipeline Co., Doyon, NANA and Unocal Pipeline Co.
BP is the managing member and has been operator of the pipeline since 1985.
Doyon’s interest goes to BP (0.1092 percent) and Amoco (0.0199 percent). NANA’s interest goes to BP (0.3276 percent) and Amoco (0.0598 percent), bringing BP’s ownership to 57.7 percent and Amoco’s ownership to 10.5 percent. BP and Amoco merged in 1998, giving the merged companies a combined 68.2 percent ownership in the line.
Department of Natural Resources Division of Oil and Gas online records show Doyon and NANA currently have small working interest ownership in one of 10 tracts in the unit, Doyon a 0.5 percent interest in the tract and NANA a 1.5 percent interest.
RCA said the combined ownership does not involve a substantial change in ownership and will not involve changes in the pipeline’s operations, management, personnel, equipment or services.
