Oil Patch Bits: ASRC names Asbury federal president and CEO

Arctic Slope Regional Corp. said May 17 that Kenneth Asbury has been named president and CEO of ASRC Federal Holding Co. Asbury is a proven business leader with more than 17 years in executive leadership positions in the defense, intelligence and civilian marketplace.

“I am confident that Ken will provide leadership to ASRC Federal that will advance our position in the federal market sector,” said Rex A. Rock Sr., ASRC president and CEO. “His broad experience, strategic and operational capabilities, and extensive knowledge of federal government contracting make him the ideal leader to take ASRC Federal to new levels of success.”

Asbury spent the past three decades at Lockheed Martin, most recently serving as president of three successful operating units and vice president of capture excellence. The National Management Association honored him as National Executive of the Year in 2006.

“ASRC Federal is a strong enterprise with a history of exceptional growth, and I am excited about the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team determined to expand the company’s growth strategy and increase revenues,” said Asbury.

Asbury’s appointment follows the departure of Carl Werner, who recently stepped down after 14 years of leadership with the ASRC Federal family of companies.
