Oil Patch Bits: Alaska Railroad to participate in summit

The Alaska Railroad said Feb. 17 that it would be participating in the Alaska Unified Certification Program 2009 Business Summit and Annual Meeting in Anchorage on Feb. 24. All businesses, especially certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, were invited and encouraged to attend. Various local and state entities, along with local corporations were to provide information and training for businesses who have bid or plan to bid on federally funded Department of Transportation projects or have an interest in doing business with BP and Alyeska. The AUCP meeting is a free event held for all Alaska recipients of federal DOT funding and was to begin immediately following the business summit.
