Some public meetings to obtain input on the Department of the Interior’s 2019-24 draft proposed program in support of the national outer continental shelf oil and gas leasing program and a notice of intent to develop a programmatic environmental impact statement have been rescheduled.

The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management said Jan. 26 that some meetings scheduled for late January were postponed due to the federal government shutdown; another meeting was postponed due to inclement weather.

In addition to the scheduled meetings, BOEM said it is offering a virtual meeting room where participants can visit the same stations available at the open house meetings, review and download handouts and posters offered at the meetings and provide comment.

The Anchorage meeting will be held Feb. 21 from 6-10 p.m. at the Dena’ina Center.
