AGS to host 2007 technical conference

The Alaska Geological Society is hosting the 2007 technical conference on Alaska geoscience research. The conference will take place on April 27 in the Natural Sciences Building in the University of Alaska Fairbanks from 8:45 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Dr. Susan DeBari from the Department of Geology, Western Washington University, will deliver the keynote talk entitled “Magmatic processes in island arcs — as tour of the crust from the bottom on up.”

The deadline for abstracts for the conference is March 30, 2007 — the conference will include both 30-minute talks and a poster session.
