More information requested for fall sales

The Alaska Division of Oil and Gas has issued a call for new information for the state’s areawide Beaufort Sea and North Slope lease sales, tentatively scheduled for October.

The division is asking for substantial, new information which has become available since best interest findings were done for the sale areas, 2009 in the case of the Beaufort Sea and 2008 in the case of the North Slope.

Supplements to both findings were issued last year.

The deadline for new information is April 29. Information should be sent to Saree Timmons, leasing section manager at the division.
