Savant reacquires Beaufort Sea acreage

Vancouver, B.C.-based Enterprise Energy Resources Ltd. has agreed to sell all the shares of its wholly owned subsidiary Bordeaux Alaska Holdings Inc. to Denver-based Savant Alaska LLC for US$700,000, Enterprise said Nov. 4.

Bordeaux holds some 4,400 acres of Alaska oil and gas leases, all in partnership with Savant — Savant 65 percent, Bordeaux 30 percent and BTA Oil Producers LLC 5 percent.

The acreage interest is in seven Beaufort Sea lease sale tracts west, south and southeast of BP Exploration’s Liberty prospect which Patterson Shaw acquired for $1.46 million in a 2006 state areawide lease sale; Bordeaux acquired a 30 percent working interest in September 2008. The leases expire in 2012.

Patterson is president of Savant Resources, a company with producing properties in the Lower 48, and its affiliate Savant Alaska. Patterson transferred the Beaufort Sea leases to Savant Alaska in early 2007.

Enterprise said the transaction is expected to close Nov. 30.
