Mining News: Northern Neighbors: Brucejack regional drilling taps bonanza gold

Pretium Resources Inc. Oct. 8 said the grassroots exploration drill program at its Brucejack project in Northwest British Columbia has cut high-grade gold in the Flow Dome Zone, located east of the Valley of the Kings. Highlights from this set of results include 2,100 grams per metric ton gold uncut over 2.05 meters, including 8,600 g/t gold uncut over 0.5 meters of hole SU-666; and 137 g/t gold over 0.5 meters in hole SU-668. Pretium said these results continue to confirm the presence of either a new stock work zone or an extension of the Valley of the Kings deposit, which lies roughly 1,000 meters to the west. In the Kitchen View Zone, hole SU-659, collared roughly 3,500 meters northeast of the Valley of the Kings, intersected a narrow zone with low grade gold, silver along with anomalous copper hosted in a sheared massive sulphide unit. A ground geophysical survey of the sulphide unit is planned for next year. The regional drilling also cut anomalous gold and copper in the Hanging Glacier Zone, 3,000 meters northwest of the Valley of the Kings, and broad zones of low-grade gold at the Lookout Zone about 1,000 meters northwest of the Valley of the Kings.
