Oil Patch Bits: Kieswether promoted to president of Carlile

Carlile Transportation said that Ron Kieswether has been promoted to president of the company. Kieswether joined Carlile last October as chief operating officer, focused on operations including logistics, less than truckload operations, trucking and safety. His expanded role will include setting strategic direction for Carlile’s Alaska and Lower 48 business and overseeing all operations for the company.

“Ron brings a significant level of expertise in the trucking business which he has demonstrated during his brief time as Carlile’s chief operating officer,” said Anthony Chiarello, president and CEO of TOTE Inc., Carlile’s parent company. “As a recent Alaska resident, we are confident his experience and now local presence will assist Carlile in further developing their already strong brand.”

Prior to joining Carlile, Ron was vice president of operations for Oak Harbor Freight Lines in Auburn, Washington. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Portland State University in Portland, Oregon. He resides in Anchorage and is chairman of the US Advisory Board for Proclaim Africa, Kampala and Uganda.
