Palin gas line team sets town hall meetings
The governor’s gas pipeline team has scheduled 16 informational town hall meetings to explain what the administration is doing to advance a gas pipeline from Alaska’s North Slope to market.
The meetings will include an overview of the Alaska Gasline Inducement Act and an explanation of how the AGIA application process works and will address the application from TransCanada Alaska Co. LLC and Foothills Pipelines Ltd. that is being considered under AGIA.
All meetings are from 6-8 p.m., except the Barrow meeting, which will be from 2-5 p.m.

Feb. 20: Sitka, Harrigan Centennial Hall; Kotzebue, NWAB Assembly Chambers; McGrath, Cap’n Snow Center;
Feb. 21: Ketchikan, Cape Fox Lodge; Nome, St. Joseph’s Church; Bethel, UAF Yup’itt Piciryarait Cultural Center;
Feb. 22: Juneau, Centennial Hall Convention Center;
Feb. 25: Delta Junction, Community Center; Kenai, Kenai Peninsula College;
Feb. 26: Barrow, Inupiat Heritage Center; Dillingham, Dillingham Middle School Gymnasium;
Feb. 27, Fairbanks, Carlson Center; Kodiak, High School Commons; and
Feb. 28: Valdez, Valdez Convention and Civic Center.
