Schlumberger beats expectations while cutting 11,000 more jobs
With a sharp decline in drilling activity due to low oil prices, Schlumberger needed to take further action to cut costs and has further reduced its workforce by another 11,000, bringing the total reduction to 15 percent compared to its employment peak in the third quarter 2014.
