Arctic Oil & Gas Directory: ASRC board appoints new chairman

Arctic Slope Regional Corp. said Dec. 13 that at its regularly scheduled budget meeting the week of Dec. 5, its board of directors nominated Barrow resident Crawford Patkotak as its new chairman, replacing long-time board chair Jacob Adams. Adams resigned as chair after being appointed to the position of chief administrative officer of the North Slope Borough. Patkotak is the current vice president of Shareholder and Community Programs for ASRC.

“He certainly has big shoes to fill, but I’m pleased to see that Crawford has the confidence of the rest of the board,” said Rex A. Rock Sr., president and CEO of ASRC. “He represents the new generation of leaders at ASRC, and has always placed the shareholders first. I look forward to working with him in his new role.”

Patkotak has served on the ASRC board of directors since 1999, and most recently served as corporate treasurer. Among his other roles, he has also served as a council member for the City of Barrow, and was on the board of trustees for ilisagvik College.
