Bakken Directory Winter 2015: Three land surveyors join Lounsbury & Associates team

Lounsbury & Associates said JT Essex, Marshall Hetlet and Brianna Steffler have joined its team.

JT Essex, PLS, is the regional survey manager of Lounsbury & Associates new Billings, Montana, office. Essex manages survey operations in Montana, North Dakota and Wyoming. He has 19 years of experience providing land surveying expertise in boundary, route, engineering design and GPS surveys. His technical background allows him to perform onsite data analysis, which allows real-time decision making, ensuring a high quality product prior to leaving the field and a seamless transition of data from field to office personnel. Essex is licensed to practice in seven western states.

Marshall Hetlet, PLS, has 33 years of experience in the surveying and mapping fields. He began his 12-year career working in the field and has performed all types of surveying tasks throughout the state of Alaska before transitioning into a project management role. He is recognized by his clients and peers as one of the lead right-of-way surveyors in Alaska.

Brianna Steffler, PLS, has a master’s degree in geographic information science. In addition to leading all GIS activities for the firm, Steffler will manage surveys for aviation and highway design projects. With more than 13 years of experience, she has a well-rounded background in a variety of surveying and GIS tasks and prides herself on the ability to perform hands-on technical functions of each discipline with competence.
