Bakken Directory Winter 2015: LT Environmental celebrates perfect safety record

LT Environmental Inc., a full service environmental and engineering firm, was recently recognized for its successful safety program. On April 29 the company completed 1,000 days without an Occupational Safety & Health Administration, OSHA, reportable incident. LTE employees celebrated the “1,000 day” milestone with a safety award wall plaque, along with food and commemorative tee-shirts.

Zero work-related injuries and illnesses for a consecutive 1,000 days is exceptional for environmental firms. It takes an experienced collaborative team to complete multiple projects safely.

“Our safety record of zero incidents is a reflection of our commitment of our employees to do great work safely,” said Tom Murphy, president of LT Environmental. “We have built an outstanding safety workplace culture not only to make safety a top priority every day but to support our clients in achieving their safety goals.”

Safety is a requirement for all LTE employees. The company develops site-specific health and safety plans for all field work and conducts bi-weekly safety meetings, daily safety tailgate meetings, ongoing safety drills, web-based training for its employees, and more. LTE takes safety even further by promoting fitness and supporting overall personal health of its employees.

“Safety is the most important value at LTE; it’s part of our mission statement and part of our corporate culture,” said Jeff Citrone, director of health and safety compliance for LT Environmental. “We know that 1,000 days is an important milestone as we continue to lead the path toward safe work environments.”
