Arctic Directory: Whittum new manager at Prudhoe for Carlile

Anchorage-based Carlile Transportation Systems said Jan. 5 that Ray Whittum has accepted the position of Prudhoe Bay terminal manager in Deadhorse. Whittum has been with Carlile in Prudhoe for four years. Before joining Carlile, he spent eight years with Schlumberger and two years with PathFinder Energy Services in their drilling departments. Carlile was established in 1980 by brothers Harry McDonald, CEO, and John McDonald, senior vice president. Other owners include President Linda Leary, Vice-President of Operations Jeff Allan, and Vice-President of Human Resources Karl Hoenack. Started with three trucks, today Carlile operates more than 350 trucks, 1,500 pieces of trailing equipment, and has more than 650 employees at its 12 terminals and logistics facilities throughout Alaska and North America.
