Arctic Directory: CIRI companies score high marks from employees
Cook Inlet Region Inc., an Alaska Native regional corporation based in Anchorage, and its subsidiary, CIRI Alaska Tourism Corp., placed among the top 10 best places to work in Alaska according to an independent survey conducted for the Alaska Journal of Commerce.
The assessment, performed by Best Companies Group, collects feedback from employees of participating companies who anonymously fill out a detailed questionnaire. The survey focuses on eight core areas, including: leadership and planning, corporate culture and communications, role satisfaction, work environment, relationship with supervisor, training, development and resources, and pay and benefits.
“CIRI is thrilled to be recognized by our employees in this way,” said Sophie Minich, president and CEO of CIRI. “Our reason for participating in the survey was to use the feedback to ensure we are providing our employees with the tools and support to achieve success. Our greatest asset is our dedicated team of employees, and their satisfaction is important to CIRI. It drives our success as a corporation.” In addition to CIRI’s recognition, CIRI Alaska Tourism Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary, not only placed in the top 10 - it returned the highest score.
The results of the survey are published in the Alaska Innovator magazine, a partnership between the Alaska Journal of Commerce and the Anchorage Economic Development Corp. To learn more about the Best Places to Work survey, visit www.bestplacestoworkak.com.
