ConocoPhillips plans to remove a chunk of sea floor in the Beaufort Sea this summer to aid the treatment of water used for oil production at two Alaska North Slope fields. The natural rise in sediment on the seafloor north of Oliktok Point threatens to clog the Kuparuk Seawater Treatment Plant used....
