Arctic Oil & Gas Directory: Solstice’s web work wins international EMA award

Solstice Advertising, a wholly owned subsidiary of Calista Corp, said Dec. 13 that it has been recognized with a Summit Emerging Media Award by the Summit International Awards organization for the agency’s design and creation of the Cook Inlet Housing Authority’s website. Solstice received a “Leader” level EMA in the nonprofit website category.

Awards are granted by a panel of international judges who evaluate entries based on method, innovation and information regarding the uniqueness of the website as well as its graphical user interface, audience appeal and functionality.

Solstice Advertising would like to thank Cook Inlet Housing Authority for providing our team with the opportunity to create a more user-centered website using an enhanced content management system, unique social media tools and property searching features to better serve CIHA customers. The new website, cookinlethousing.org helps the nonprofit fulfill its mission in providing quality housing opportunities to residents in Southcentral Alaska.

Solstice is the only advertising agency in Alaska to receive a 2011 EMA. This is the third SIA award Solstice has received since 2008.
