National drilling rig count up 11 to 1,063

The number of rigs drilling for oil and natural gas in the U.S. was up by 11 the week ending Oct. 12 to 1,063.
At this time a year ago there were 928 active rigs.
Houston oilfield services company Baker Hughes reported that 869 rigs targeted oil (up by eight from the previous week) and 193 targeted....
