On Jan. 25 the Alaska Volcano Observatory raised the alert level for the Redoubt Volcano on the west side of the Cook Inlet to code orange, indicating the strong possibility of an eruption and triggering concerns about the possibility of a cloud of volcanic ash heading for the population centers on....
