Special session on gas line contract unlikely

It will be up to a future governor to sign a contract for a multi-billion dollar natural gas pipeline from Alaska’s North Slope through Canada to the U.S. Midwest, Alaska Gov. Frank Murkowski’s top aide said Sept. 6. This past month saw Murkowski, a Republican, lose his re-election bid, BP shut down....
