ConocoPhillips and Anadarko Petroleum Corp. have started oil production from Fiord, the first Alpine satellite field. The Alpine oil field is 35 miles west of the Kuparuk River unit on the eastern border of the National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska. Fiord is five miles north of Alpine. Both fields are....
