Governor to address chamber on restructuring in oil and gas industry
Alaska Gov. Tony Knowles will address the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce Aug. 23 on the restructuring taking place within the worldwide oil and gas industry — and what that means for Alaska.
The governor’s talk, “Alaska’s Relationship with a Restructured Oil Industry in the New Millennium,” will be at the Egan Convention Center.
The governor’s office said that his comments will focus on the proposed mergers of BP and ARCO, and Exxon and Mobil, and the state’s position on those mergers as they are considered by the Federal Trade Commission.
