ANS production up 5 percent in October

Alaska North Slope crude oil production averaged 743,112 barrels per day in October, up 5.4 percent from a September average of 705,360 bpd.

The largest month-to-month change was at the BP Exploration (Alaska)-operated Endicott field, which averaged 15,644 bpd in October, down 52.5 percent from a September average of 32,930 bpd. This decrease reflects a return to normal volumes on the Endicott pipeline, which had been playing host to some 33,000 bpd of oil from Prudhoe Bay Flow Station 2.

The BP-operated Northstar field averaged 28,732 bpd in October, down 10.5 percent from a September average of 32,088 bpd.

The ConocoPhillips Alaska-operated Alpine field averaged 116,640 bpd in October, down 5 percent from a September average of 122,844 bpd.

BP’s Milne Point field averaged 31,354 bpd in October, down 1 percent from a September average of 31,644 bpd.

The BP-operated Lisburne field averaged 38,168 bpd in October, up 51 percent from a September average of 25,279 bpd. Lisburne, part of Greater Prudhoe Bay, was down at the end of September and the beginning of October for a series of repairs. The Kuparuk River field, operated by ConocoPhillips, averaged 152,588 bpd in October, up 13.1 percent from a September average of 134,886 bpd.

Production from the BP-operated Prudhoe Bay field averaged 359,986 bpd in October, up 10.5 percent from September production averaging 325,689 bpd.
