The Spartan 151 jack-up rig set sail this afternoon for Alaska’s Cook Inlet, per a report from a PN contact in Freeport, Texas, where the rig was loaded onto a heavy lift vessel earlier this week.

The report was confirmed by operator Escopeta Oil at 2 p.m. Alaska time.

“Yup. We’re on our way,” company President Danny Davis told Petroleum News. “Photos are coming your way.”
