Repsol E&P has filed a lease plan of operations with the Alaska Division of Oil and Gas for a three-well oil and gas exploration drilling program this winter. The company said it has five potential well locations in the Colville River area and told the state it will select three.
The company identified two potential routes for ice roads, with final routing dependent on well site selection.
The application package for the program is available on the division's website at www.dog.dnr.alaska.gov/Permitting/Permitting.htm#permittingnotices.
Comments on the plan are due Dec. 5.
