Jack-up on HEX/Furie platform
John Hendrix's message today to his fellow Alaskans: "Great day for HEX/Furie and Alaska. Jack-up rig on our platform today at 10 am!! Drilling local natural gas for Alaskans!"
The Enterprise 151 is the jack-up. The platform is the Julius R. Platform. The field is the Kitchen Lights unit in Cook Inlet.
The Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission currently lists two drilling permits for Furie Operating in the Kitchen Lights unit: KLU A-4A permitted 6/25/2024 and KLU A-1A permitted 9/13/2024.
In August, Furie averaged 9.745 million cubic feet per day from two wells at Kitchen Lights, according to the most recent data available from AOGCC --5.21% of inlet gas production in that month.

CPAI agrees to acquire interests
ConocoPhillips Alaska Inc. announced today it has signed a purchase and sale agreement to acquire Chevron U.S.A. Inc.'s and Union Oil Company of California's non-operated interest in the Kuparuk River unit and a portion of its non-operated interest in the Prudhoe Bay unit for approximately $300 million, subject to customary adjustments at closing. The transaction closing is expected by the end of the year.
When the transaction closes, ConocoPhillips Alaska's working interest will increase approximately 5% to a range of 94-99% in the Kuparuk River unit, inclusive of satellite fields, and will increase 0.4% to approximately 36.5% in the Prudhoe Bay unit. The transaction is expected to add an estimated 5,000 net barrels of oil equivalent per day to the company's portfolio going forward.
