Lease sale numbers wrong

Totals for the North Slope lease sale reported in PNA's Oct. 24 news bulletin were incorrect.

The state opened bids totaling $2,830.269.60 in the Oct. 24 North Slope and Beaufort Sea areawide sales, but $215,884.80 in bids in the North Sea sale did not meet the required minimum bid. The preliminary total for the North Slope sale is $1,639,897.60.

The preliminary total for both sales is $2,614,384.80.

Final figures will be available once the state does title work and determines the exact acreage in each tract.
