Month-over-month decline led by Milne, Greater Mooses Tooth, Prudhoe Bay; gains at Kuparuk River, Hilcorp Alaska's smaller fields

Alaska North Slope liquids production averaged 462,689 barrels per day in June, down 16,673 bpd, 3.48%, from a May average of 479,361 bpd, but up 4.93% from a June 2024 average of 440,929 bpd.
ANS crude averaged 414,566 bpd in June, 89.6% of the total, down 11,859 bpd, 2.78%, from a May average of 426,426 bpd but up 5.57% from a June 2024 average of 392,710 bpd.
ANS natural gas liquids averaged 48,123 bpd in June, 10.4% of the total, down 4,813 bpd, 9.09%, from a June average of 52,936 bpd and down 0.2% from a June 2024 average of 48,219 bpd. North Slope NGLs come primarily from Prudhoe Bay but also from Northstar and Endicott.
Production data are from the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission which reports production by field and well on a month delay basis.
The temperature in the North Slope Borough averaged 48.6 degrees F in June, up from 25.6 degrees F in May, and up from 47.2 degrees in June 2024. The 1925-2024 mean for June is 44.3 degrees F, 4.3 degrees cooler than the June 2025 average.
Temperature data are from the county time series maintained by NOAA's National Centers for Environmental Information, which has North Slope Borough temperatures beginning in 1925.
Month-over-month increases The largest month-over-month increase by volume was at the ConocoPhillips Alaska-operated Kuparuk River field, which averaged 89,937 bpd in June, up 1,324 bpd, 1.49%, from a May average of 88,613 bpd and up 36.13% from a June 2024 average of 66,070 bpd.
In addition to the main Kuparuk pool, Kuparuk produces from Coyote, Tabasco, Tarn, Torok and West Sak.
ConocoPhillips is the majority working interest owner at Kuparuk. ExxonMobil, the only other WIO, holds less than 3%.
Hilcorp Alaska's Endicott averaged 5,692 bpd in June, up 385 bpd, 7.26%, from a May average of 5,307 bpd but down 5.78% from a June 2024 average of 6,041 bpd. Endicott crude averaged 5,011 bpd in June, 88.03% of the total, up 255 bpd, 5.36%, from a May average of 4,756 bpd but down 5.81% from a June 2024 average of 5,320 bpd. Endicott NGLs averaged 681 bpd in June, 11.97% of the total, up 130 bpd, 23.65%, from a May average of 551 bpd but down 5.56% from a June 2024 average of 721 bpd.
Hilcorp Alaska's Oooguruk averaged 6,545 bpd in June, up 241 bpd, 3.82%, from a May average of 6,304 bpd and up 17.92% from a June 2024 average of 5,550 bpd. Hilcorp Alaska acquired Oooguruk from Eni in November 2024.
Hilcorp Alaska's Northstar averaged 4,812 bpd in June, up 93 bpd, 1.97%, from a May average of 4,719 bpd but down 9.22% from a June 2024 average of 5,300 bpd. Northstar crude averaged 2,444 bpd in June, 50.79% of the total, up 76 bpd, 3.21%, from a May average of 2,368 bpd but down 12.38% from a June 2024 average of 6,041 bpd. Northstar NGLs averaged 2,368 bpd in June, 49.21% of the total, up 17 bpd, 0.71%, from a May average of 2,351 bpd but down 5.71% from a June 2024 average of 2,511 bpd.
Hilcorp Alaska's Nikaitchuq averaged 17,272 bpd in June, up 34 bpd, 0.2%, from a May average of 17,238 bpd and up 19.97% from a June 2024 average of 14,396 bpd. Hilcorp Alaska acquired Nikaitchuq from Eni in November 2024.
Oil Search (Alaska) continues to test wells at Pikka, which is not yet in production, with two wells (producing for a combined total of six days) contributing an average of 541 bpd to ANS crude production in June. The company began testing wells at the field in September 2023.
Month-over-month decreases The Hilcorp North Slope-operated Prudhoe Bay field, the Slope's largest, had the largest month-over-month volume decrease, averaging 244,169 bpd in June, down 8,220 bpd, 3.26%, from a May average of 252,390 bpd, but up 0.59% from a June 2024 average of 242,745 bpd. Prudhoe crude averaged 199,096 bpd in June, 81.54% of the total, down 3,261 bpd, 1.61%, from a May average of 202,357 bpd, but up 0.68% from a June 2024 average of 197,758 bpd. Prudhoe NGLs averaged 45,073 bpd in June, 18.46% of the total, down 4,960 bpd, 9.91%, from a May average of 50,033 bpd but up 0.19% from a June 2024 average of 44,986 bpd.
In addition to the primary reservoir, production volumes from Prudhoe include Aurora, Borealis, Lisburne, Midnight Sun, Niakuk, Polaris, Point McIntyre, Put River, Raven and Schrader Bluff.
ConocoPhillips Alaska holds 36.5% of the working interest ownership at Prudhoe; ExxonMobil Alaska Production holds 36.4%; operator Hilcorp North Slope holds 27.1%.
Hilcorp Alaska's Milne Point averaged 42,962 bpd in June, down 5,411 bpd, 11.19%, from a May average of 48,373 bpd and down 4.16% from a June 2024 average of 44,827 bpd.
Milne Point produces primarily from the Schrader Bluff and Kuparuk oil pools, with minor Sag River and Ugnu volumes.
ConocoPhillips Alaska's Colville River averaged 32,593 bpd in June, down 1,374 bpd, 4.05%, from a May average of 33,967 bpd and down 5.68% from a June 2024 average of 34,556 bpd.
In addition to oil from the main Alpine pool, Colville includes production from the Nanuq and Qannik oil pools.
ConocoPhillips Alaska's Greater Mooses Tooth in the National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska averaged 11,298 bpd, down 3,079 bpd, 21.42%, from a May average of 14,377 bpd and down 26.58% from a June 2024 average of 15,388 bpd.
Savant Alaska's Badami averaged 2,217 bpd in June, down 205 bpd, 8.48%, from a May average of 2,423 bpd, but up 164.05% from a June 2024 average of 840 bpd. Savant is a Glacier Oil and Gas company.
Hilcorp Alaska-operated Point Thomson averaged 4,186 bpd in June, down 72 bpd, 1.69%, from a May average of 4,258 bpd, but up 1.64% from a June 2024 average of 4,118 bpd.
Operator Hilcorp holds 36.148% of Point Thomson, with ExxonMobil Alaska Production the majority working interest owner at 61.637% and other owners collectively holding 2.215%.
Mustang Holdings' Southern Miluveach averaged 463 bpd in June, down 47 bpd, 9.19%, from a May average of 510 bpd; the field was not in production in June 2024.
Cook Inlet up 2.34% Cook Inlet crude production averaged 7,774 bpd in June, up 180 bpd, 2.34%, from a May average of 7,597 bpd, but down 1.51% from a June 2024 average of 7,894 bpd.
Hilcorp Alaska's McArthur River, Cook Inlet's largest oil producer, averaged 2,453 bpd in June, up 55 bpd, 2.28%, from a May average of 2,398 bpd and up 35.53% from a June 2024 average of 1,810 bpd.
Hilcorp's Granite Point averaged 1,659 bpd in June, up 73 bpd, 4.61%, from a May average of 1,586 bpd but down 19.77% from a June 2024 average of 2,068 bpd.
Hilcorp's Trading Bay averaged 931 bpd in June, up 177 bpd, 23.47%, from a May average of 754 bpd and up 2.78% from a June 2024 average of 905 bpd.
Cook Inlet Energy's West McArthur River averaged 801 bpd in June, down 144 bpd, 15.2%, from a May average of 945 bpd and down 16.44% from a June 2024 average of 959 bpd. CIE is a Glacier Oil and Gas company.
Cook Inlet Energy's Redoubt Shoal averaged 639 bpd in June, up 21 bpd, 3.38%, from a May average of 618 bpd and up 11.44% from a June 2024 average of 573 bpd.
Hilcorp's Swanson River averaged 637 bpd in June, down 13 bpd, 2.07%, from a May average of 651 bpd and down 1.38% from a June 2024 average of 646 bpd.
BlueCrest's Hansen averaged 518 bpd in June, down 2 bpd, 0.3%, from a May average of 519 bpd and down 20.32% from a June 2024 average of 650 bpd.
Hilcorp's Beaver Creek averaged 137 bpd in June, up 13 bpd, 10.6%, from a May average of 124 bpd but down 46.98% from a June 2024 average of 258 bpd.
ANS crude oil production peaked in 1988 at 2.1 million bpd; Cook Inlet crude oil production peaked in 1970 at more than 227,000 bpd.
