Arctic Directory: Crowley awards scholarships to four business students
Crowley Maritime Corp. recently awarded $2,500 Thomas B. Crowley Sr. Memorial Scholarships to four students in the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business. The students, Kainan Bell, Vi Nguyen, Giovanna Oseguera Tapia and David Kashubin, were chosen for their academic achievements, excellent scholarship essays and demonstrated financial need.
Bell, a native of Tacoma, Wash., is a junior studying business and social welfare. During his time at the university, he has held internships at KPMG and Boeing, served as a residential advisor and studied abroad in Brazil.
Nguyen is a senior studying international business and marketing. She is pursuing a degree in Norwegian studies and is also president of the custom language track within the Certificate of International Studies in Business program.
Tapia, also a senior, is majoring in business marketing and is currently studying abroad at the University of Sussex, in England. Tapia is a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and has also been a part of UW’s AMA chapter.
Kashubin is a senior marketing major who is also pursuing a minor in psychology. A member of the UW AMA chapter, Kashubin enjoys playing football, ice hockey and tennis, and spending time with family.
Crowley scholarships are part of Crowley’s lengthy and ongoing commitment to education.next edition will be released in March.
