Former North Slope Borough mayor joins BLG Group

BLG Group principal Becky Gay told PNA in March that she had contracted with former North Slope Borough Ben Nageak to handle North Slope-related business and government affairs for her consulting group.

Anchorage-based BLG Group’s main focus has been external affairs work on solid waste and oil and gas issues, but the firm also provides consulting services for resource and business development, regulatory issues and serves as a community liaison for its clients.

Born in Kaktovik and currently residing in Barrow, Nageak is a lifetime resident of the North Slope Borough. Gay said he has extensive public service background in the region, both as an elected and appointed official.
