Oil Patch Bits:Guess & Rudd’s McLaughlin honored by Martindale-Hubbell

Michael McLaughlin at Guess & Rudd PC was recently honored by Martindale-Hubbell with an AV Preeminent® rating which is “a significant rating accomplishment — a testament to the fact that a lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence.” Legal ability ratings are based on performance in five key areas: legal knowledge, analytical capabilities, judgment, communication ability and legal experience and are an objective indicator of a lawyer’s high ethical standards and professional ability, generated from evaluations of lawyers by other members of the bar and the judiciary in the United States and Canada. McLaughlin is a shareholder of the firm. After obtaining his BA degree at Stanford University and his JD and MBA degrees at Willamette University, he moved to Alaska in 1985 and began work with the firm. His practice areas are focused on regulated oil and gas pipelines, banking, regulated public utilities, real estate, ANCSA law and other commercial practice areas. He represents some of the largest oil and gas pipeline and commercial interests in Alaska.
