Conoco donates $5M to cancer center

The new Providence Cancer Center in Anchorage has received its largest single contribution to date, a $5 million gift from ConocoPhillips.

The contribution to the Cancer Center is the single largest donation ConocoPhillips has made in Alaska, and one of the largest the company has made worldwide.

Jim Bowles, president of ConocoPhillips Alaska, says the company “has always recognized the importance of building a stronger, healthier Alaska.”

The Providence Cancer Center provides advanced cancer care. The 45,000-square foot facility offers a cancer resource center and the Susan Butcher Family Center.
