FERC schedules public scoping meetings
Staff of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission will conduct public scoping meetings in Alaska in January and February. The meetings are part of the agency’s preparation of an environmental impact statement for the Alaska Pipeline Project, the planned natural gas pipeline system that would transport Alaska North Slope natural gas to markets in the Lower 48.
Public scoping meetings provide an opportunity to submit verbal comments in addition to or in lieu of written comments on issue of environmental concern related to the Alaska Pipeline Project. The scoping period for the project closes Feb. 27.

Delta Junction, Delta Community Center, Jan. 31, 7 p.m.
Tok, Tok School, Feb. 1, 7 p.m.
Barrow, Inupiat Heritage Center, Feb. 6, 7 p.m.
