ARCO Alaska President Ken Thompson moves into ARCO’s corporate senior executive ranks, ARCO Alaska Senior Vice President Kevin O. Meyers named new ARCO Alaska president, chief operating officer

As part of a strategic reorganization that reflects ARCO’s plans to expand its operations in Alaska and overseas, the company has promoted two of its top ARCO Alaska Inc. executives.

Ken Thompson, president of ARCO Alaska, has been named ARCO executive vice president, making him one of four senior executives who report directly to newly-appointed ARCO Presi-dent William E. Wade Jr. and one of two executive vice presidents in charge of ARCO’s worldwide upstream operations. Thompson will also serve as chairman and chief executive officer of ARCO Alaska. ARCO Alaska Senior Vice President Kevin O. Meyers, in charge of the company’s Prudhoe Bay unit and the man responsible for meeting ARCO’s aggressive production and cost goals at Prudhoe, will take Thompson’s place as president of ARCO Alaska. Meyers will also serve as the company’s chief operating officer. ...
