Anchorage-based Construction Machinery Inc. said May 10 it has a new chief executive and is moving its headquarters from Anchorage to San Diego.

The board of directors appointed Jack L. Moser as the company’s new president and chief executive officer. Moser joined CMI last year as the senior vice president/chief financial officer, and has 19 years of experience in the construction machinery industry. He will work out of the company’s new headquarters in San Diego.

“Jack Moser brings an excellent mix of experience and motivated leadership to guide CMI to success in a rapidly changing business environment,” CMI Chairman Bill Prosser said in a statement.

CMI, which began operation in Alaska in 1976, provides heavy equipment sales, rental, parts, and service in Alaska, Washington, Oregon, and California. It is a subsidiary of Cook Inlet Region Inc.
