Mat system being marketed in Alaska

Petroleum News Alaska Staff

Soloco, a major international general oilfield construction company that recently celebrated its 40th anniversary, has begun marketing its Dura-Base Composite Mat System in Alaska. The mat system is “the world’s most advanced solution for temporary surfaces, including heavy duty roads, turnarounds, work and staging areas in the petrochemical industry,” Soloco said.

A modular system of interlocking high-density polyethylene mats, the system features quick and easy assembly, installation and clean up. The product is environmentally friendly and provides a new level of safety for workers and equipment alike, Soloco said.

“Dura-Base has been proven in shifting sand, mud and gravel, ice and snow, the most hostile environments and the harshest weather. It’s engineered strength and stability, long life and versatility of application made Dura-Base the most cost-effective solution over the life of a project,” the company said.
