Petroleum News Alaska Staff
The Alaska Department of Natural Resources has established a land title database Internet site for researching current title abstracts online. There is no charge. The database tracks state of Alaska title activities as they occur, including leases, claims, acquisitions, dispositions, forest, state park and water activities.
The site address is: http://www.dnr.state.ak.us/las/lasmenu.htm
File type and file number are required for a search.
State status plats are also available online with search by township, range, section and meridian at http://www.dnr.state.ak.us/landrecords.
The state’s Geo-Spatial Data Clearinghouse lists data available for download and CDs available for purchase at http://www.asgdc.state.ak.us
