Phillips drops leases in Cook Inlet

Phillips Petroleum Co. has relinquished seven non-producing leases in Cook Inlet north and south of its North Cook Inlet unit. Phillips produces gas from the Tyonek platform at the unit. The company has delayed a decision on an oil pipeline from the platform to produce from the Tyonek Deep formation below its current gas production.
