Mining News: First ‘17 holes expand Red Mountain zones

IDM Mining Ltd. May 23 published assay results from the first six holes of the 2017 season at the Red Mountain gold-silver project near Stewart, British Columbia. Five of the holes drilled targeted the expansion of the AV zone at Red Mountain. Highlights from these step-out holes include 1.82 meters of 19.25 grams per metric ton gold and 35.65 g/t silver in hole U17-1228; 6.23 of 12.95 g/t gold and 48.83 g/t silver in U17-1229; and five meters of 8.78 g/t gold and 53.04 g/t silver in U17-1231. The sixth hole, U17-1233, was targeted to boost the grade of a portion of the JW zone. This hole cut 25 meters averaging 8.92 g/t gold and 37.69 g/t silver, including two-meter section averaging 89.7 g/t gold and 26.65 g/t silver. "Our 2017 resource expansion and exploration program has started off successfully, returning robust widths and grades that are typical for the Red Mountain deposit," said IDM Mining President and CEO Rob McLeod. "The underground rigs are currently completing exploration holes up to 300 meters north of current resources, proximal to historic high-grade gold intercepts." As of May 23, 23 underground drill holes have been completed as part of the 2017 underground drill program at Red Mountain.
