Petroleum News Alaska Staff

Semco Energy Inc. said May 8 that Sebastian Coppola, senior vice president and chief financial officer of Semco Energy, has been named to the additional position of president and chief operating officer of Semco Energy Ventures, the company’s unregulated subsidiary.

Semco Energy Ventures owns intrastate gas transmission pipelines, underground gas storage and other non-regulated assets in Michigan. William Johnson, chairman, president and CEO of Semco Energy, said the company owns infrastructure in Michigan that supports its distribution system.

“We may make prudent additional investments in transmission and storage projects that are connected to our distribution systems in Michigan and in Alaska,” Johnson said.

Semco Energy is the owner of Enstar Natural Gas Co.
