Natchiq rebranded

Petroleum News Staff

One of the largest oilfield and construction contractors in Alaska is restructuring to meet the changing demands of the state’s maturing oil fields.

According to Natchiq President and CEO Mike Stophlet, Natchiq has changed it name to ASRC Energy Services, reorganizing into three business units: operations and maintenance; pipeline, power and communications; and engineering and technology.

APC Natchiq and Natchiq Sakhalin comprise the operations and maintenance unit. Houston Contracting, Global Power and Communications and Houston-NANA are under the umbrella of the pipeline and power unit.

Anchorage-based Natchiq Technical Services, Lafayette-based Omega Natchiq and Calgary-based Tri-Ocean Natchiq Engineering are in the engineering and technology unit.

The Anchorage headquarters of ASRC Energy Services is 3900 C Street, Suite 701; the same building that houses its parent, Arctic Slope Regional Corp.

Editor’s note: Watch for a feature story about ASRC Energy Services in the May 4 edition of Petroleum News, Service & Supply section.
