PETROLEUM DIRECTORY: New office; new jobs at Ukpeagvik

Ukpeagvik Inupiat Corp. has opened new corporate offices at 6700 Arctic Spur Road in Anchorage, Alaska. The new campus will house a variety of UIC companies: UIC Construction LLC, Ukpik Mechanical LLC, Rockford Corp., Siku Construction LLC, Bowhead, LCMF LLC and BTS Professional Services LLC.

“UIC is growing,” said Max Ahgeak, the company’s president. “The expansion to Anchorage is an opportunity to provide better access for our clients with a strong urban presence.”

Nancy Gray-Keller is the new administrative manager for the Anchorage complex, UIC said. Gray-Keller is a UIC shareholder who has worked for the Arctic Slope Regional Corp. for the last dozen years, most recently as a senior management analyst.

In another personnel change, Dale Brower Stotts has been promoted to ANCSA land chief, after serving as general manager if BTS Professional Services, another arm of UIC. He will be in charge of oil and gas-industry development relating to UIC lands.

Stotts is former director of UIC’s real estate arm, and a former zoning commissioner for the North Slope Borough. He also served as special projects coordinator for Kuukpik Corp. in Nuiqsut, working there when ground was broken for the Alpine complex in 1994.

UIC is the Alaska Native village corporation for Barrow. It has been doing business for 32 years in Alaska and elsewhere. The Anchorage phone number is 907-677-5200.
